NorthShore Regional participates in the Growing Family Digital Care Professional System. The Growing Family Digital Care Professional System has the ability to move from room to room providing mom and the entire family the opportunity to participate in baby's first photo session. The system is specially designed for in-hospital photography and to digitally capture baby's official first photo. After photos are taken, the high-resolution images images are then quickly transported to Growing Family's production facility via a secure Internet connection. One of the greatest benefits of this system is its ability to provide parents a full-color proof sheet of baby's first photos immediately following the photo session. Parents are then offered the opportunity to order a variety of photo packages, birth announcements and unique keepsakes before leaving the hospital. Parents and family members near and far can view baby's first photo on the website of NorthShore Regional Medical Center. The Growing Family production system allows parents to include their baby's photo with a individually selected password for viewing if desired. This system is just one example of how NorthShore Regional Medical Center is finding new and improved ways to service our patients and make their stay at our hospital even more enjoyable.
