Sheila Hancock, Respiratory Therapist at NorthShore Regional Medical Center (NSRMC), was named Employee of the Year for 2007. Hancock was recognized at the hospital’s annual awards celebration.

Hancock has worked in the Respiratory Department at NorthShore since 1995. Hancock enjoys her job, finds it rewarding to see patients get better because of the care provided for them, and believes in taking care of patients as if they were members of her own family. The secret to her success, she says, is “always having a positive outlook on things and believing you are making a difference in someone’s life.” Outside of NorthShore, Hancock enjoys vacationing with her family and spending time with her children.

The Employee of the Year at NorthShore Regional is chosen from the year’s employees of the month. Hancock was NorthShore’s Employee of the Month for November. The Employee of the Year receives a certificate, a $1000 gift check, and placement on the employee of the year plaque in the hospital cafeteria.
